Short biography

I am a research-oriented AI scientist specialising in multimodal and adaptive machine-learning systems under uncertainty, with applications across healthcare, energy, geophysics, and publicsector decision intelligence. Most recently, I was a Senior Research Fellow at University College London (UCL), working in computational pathology and foundation model-based AI for cancer diagnosis, following prior roles at the UCL Centre for AI and Energy Institute focused on early disease detection and large-scale data-driven systems. Previously, I was a Research Fellow at the University of Bristol and a Research Scientist at EureCat’s Big Data & Data Science Unit, developing deep learning and ML systems for healthcare and urban mobility. I hold a PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Barcelona, an MSc in Artificial Intelligence, and a BSc in Computer Science. I am a member of ELLIS and have authored 40+ peer-reviewed publications in machine learning, computer vision, and healthcare AI.
